Alumni Lecture Series Chapter 5

Alumni Lecture Series Chapter Five – Sai Teja Peddinti

The fifth chapter of the Alumni Lecture Series hosts one such alumnus who made it in Google. Based on his experiences, he can share how to prepare for interviews at these tech giants and some common pitfalls to avoid.

Sai Teja Peddinti is a Senior Research Scientist in the Privacy Research group at Google. He finished his Bachelors in Information & Communication Technology (ICT) with a Gold Medal from DA-IICT in 2009, and then completed his PhD in Computer Science at the New York University, School of Engineering in 2014. His primary research focus is on applying data analysis and machine learning techniques to help evaluate and improve privacy technologies and solutions. His research interests also extend to designing and implementing cloud, network and system security solutions.

Privacy and Security are inter-related topics that are crucial for the success of any hardware/software solution. These topics may seem straightforward but include many specialization streams — with active ongoing research, multiple focused conferences, and even jobs requiring a niche skillset. Sai Teja Peddinti will give an overview of this domain’s breadth and what opportunities exist in the space. He will reflect on his own path and experiences, and how his education at DAIICT has shaped his views and gave him the necessary confidence to face challenges in life. It is going to be an interactive session, so please come with your questions.
