Junior Research Fellowship Offered On DST-IMPRINT-2 Project

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 1 position in the prestigious DST-IMPRINT-2 project entitled “A Device for Bed Load Measurement”.

The project is in collaboration with IIT- Gandhinagar and the fellow is expected to work in a multidisciplinary team consisting of researchers from Civil Engineering, River engineering and Electronic Engineering domain.

So, we are looking for an outstanding applicant for the position, particularly with experience in general area of Embedded Hardware Design, FPGA, PCB Design, Sensor Interfacing and Micro-controller Programming. Proficiency in FPGA, MATLAB, PIC, C programming would be an advantage.

For this position you must have a Master’s degree (M.Tech or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline. A high level of analytical and computing skills is required. Preference will be given to applicants with a proven academic record and publications in relevant areas. Applicants must be fluent in English.

This post is purely temporary for the duration of 9 months of the sponsored project. It would, therefore, not confer any right for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in DA-IICT. However, the selected candidate will be encouraged to apply for the PhD program of DA-IICT.

The position is based at DA-IICT, Gandhinagar-Gujarat. Occasional travel to collaborating institute and deployment site will be required.

Fellowship: Rs. 26,000/- pm.
