Objective:

Building Assistive Speech Technologies for the Challenged

Funding Agency:

Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), New Delhi, Govt. of India

Position: Project Personnel Category A

Total Number of Posts: 02

Eligibility:

M.E./M.Tech. or equivalent in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering or Information Technology or (or a related discipline).

Desirable:

  • Background in Signals and Systems/Digital Signal Processing and relevant mathematics
  • Background in Machine Learning and Deep Learning and its applications to Speech Technology
  • GATE Qualification
  • Knowledge (both spoken and written form) in Gujarati, Hindi, and English.
  • Prior work experience in speech processing (e.g., infant cry/dysarthric speech classification, emotion recognition of disabled, Autism Spectrum Disorder)

Salary:

Rs. 35,000 (consolidated) per month

Duration:

Initially for one year (renewable for additional 2 years based availability of funds and performance). This post is purely temporary. It would, therefore, not confer any right for any candidate for claiming further extension or absorption in DA-IICT. However, the selected candidate will be encouraged to apply for the PhD program of DA-IICT as per the available guidelines.

Position: Project Personnel Category B

Total Number of Posts: 06

Eligibility:

B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering or Information Technology or (or a related discipline).

Desirable:

  • Background in Signals and Systems/Digital Signal Processing and relevant mathematics
  • Background in Machine Learning and Deep Learning and its applications to Speech Technology
  • GATE Qualification
  • Knowledge (both spoken and written form) in Gujarati, Hindi, and English.
  • Prior work experience in speech processing (e.g., infant cry/dysarthric speech classification, emotion recognition of disabled persons, Autism Spectrum Disorder, TTS for Visually Challenged)

Salary:

Rs. 16, 000/- (consolidated) per month

Duration:

Initially for one year (renewable for additional 6 months based availability of funds and performance). This post is purely temporary. It would, therefore, not confer any right for any candidate for claiming further extension or absorption in DA-IICT. However, the selected candidate will be encouraged to apply for the PhD program of DA-IICT as per the available guidelines.
