Higher Education Support Trust (HEST) Scholarships

for Dhirubhai Ambani University (DAU)

Higher Education Support Trust (HEST) is a public trust under registration number E/3164/Bharuch and having its registered office at Bharuch, represented by Mr Jayant K. Shah, Managing Trust. HEST’s Mission is to Perpetually UPLIFT Downtrodden/Needy Families by supporting their Brilliant and Determined children for their Higher Education in Professional Courses in Universities, mainly, Degree Engineering, Medicine and Chartered Accountancy.

HEST’s vision is to ensure that the benefits of the trust are open to all the students hailing from Gujarat, irrespective of caste, creed, gender, or religion. Without in any way limiting the generality of the main objects.

The Trust has instituted 10 (ten) Merit-cum-Means Scholarships at DAU as follows:

I. Scholarships

  • Ten Scholarships per academic year starting the academic year 2025-26 to the students of B.Tech. courses.
  • Each Student will be provided a Scholarship of ₹ 60,000 per year (₹2.4 lakhs in four years, in eight instalments over four years).

II. Selection of Beneficiaries (Students)

The DAU will invite applications for the "HEST Scholarship" from its first-year students. Who satisfies the following Criteria:

  1. The student must be a domicile of the Gujarat State.
  2. The student has studied 12th Science from a School in the state of Gujarat. (This includes all examination boards viz GSEB, ICSE, CBSE...)
  3. Student has scored a minimum of 225 marks (out of 300) in PCM theory Subjects.
  4. Annual Family income maximum would be ₹ 3,00,000/-
  5. Student will be allowed to avail MYSY/CMSS Scholarship over and above this "HEST Scholarship"
  6. List of documents:
    1. Scholarship Form
    2. Class X Statement of Marks
    3. Class XI Statement of Marks
    4. Class XII Statement of Marks
    5. JEE/GUJCET Result
    6. School Leaving Certificate
    7. Aadhar card of Student and Parent(s)
    8. Ration Card
    9. Cast certificate and Non-Crème Layer certificate, if any
    10. Parents’ Income Certificate/ITR (last two years)
    11. Photostat of Student & parents’ all bank accounts’ passbook
    12. Mark sheets of every year in the respective course.

III. Disbursement of Instalments

  • The First instalment will be paid on the signing of the Agreement by the student.
  • The second instalment will be paid on the student's passing the first semester without any backlog and with a Minimum SPI of 6.0/10.0.
  • All subsequent instalments will be paid on the student's passing the previous semester examination without any backlog and with a minimum 7.00 SPI
