Research-Track Faculty

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for Research-Track Faculty (Assistant/Associate Research Professor) positions in the following area:

• Artificial Intelligence
• Cloud Computing
• Database Management Systems
• Software Engineering
• High Performance Computing
• Cybersecurity
• Data Science
• Computer Architecture / Embedded Systems

Minimum Eligibility

• Ph.D. in the relevant discipline from a recognized university or institution.
• A strong academic and research record appropriate to the candidate’s research field.
• Demonstrated ability to undertake independent research.

Desirable Qualifications

• Postdoctoral or equivalent research experience.
• Experience in obtaining or contributing to externally funded research projects.
• Demonstrated interdisciplinary or collaborative research experience.

Tenure (Contractual)

Initial contract period is for 3 years, which may be renewed based on satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and pursue high-quality interdisciplinary research in the area of specialization; 
• Teach two (2) courses per academic year in the relevant area of expertise; 
• Publish research in reputed journals, conferences, books, patents; 
• Develop and secure competitive national and international research funding; 
• Engage in collaborative research with academia, industry, and external organizations; 
• Contribute to research centres, laboratories, research groups, and institutional initiatives; 
• Contribute to curriculum development and academic programme enhancement; 
• Mentor and co-supervise undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and project students; 
• Develop research opportunities offering students hands-on experience; and 
• Participate in consultancy, technology transfer, translational research, and other academic-administrative responsibilities.
