Teaching-Track Faculty

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for Teaching-Track Faculty (Assistant Teaching Professor) positions in the following area:

• Artificial Intelligence
• Cloud Computing
• Database Management Systems
• Software Engineering
• High Performance Computing
• Cybersecurity
• Data Science
• Computer Architecture / Embedded Systems

Minimum Eligibility

(i) A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or allied disciplines from an Institute of repute. Candidates with a master’s degree in Statistics and Applied Mathematics with substantial experience in Data Analytics, Data Visualization are also encouraged to apply; and
(ii) 5+ years of experience in the software industry and/or academia in the areas as mentioned above.

Tenure (Contractual)

Initial contract period is for 3 years, which may be renewed based on satisfactory performance. Candidates without a PhD degree, who joined as Teaching-track Faculty, will be encouraged to join the PhD studies at the University after fulfilling the admissions criteria of the PhD program, along with the primary job engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to teaching, particularly in areas aligned with the faculty member’s expertise, with a load of four (4) courses per academic year; 
• Contribute to curriculum development and academic programme enhancement; 
• Mentor undergraduate, postgraduate, and project students in research activities; 
• Integrate contemporary research findings and methodologies into teaching and learning; 
• Develop research projects that provide students with hands-on research experience; 
• Engage in collaborative research with faculty, industry, and external organizations; 
• Contribute to the development of research centres, laboratories, research groups, and institutional research initiatives; and 
• Undertake other academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the University.
