Executive – Finance and Accounts
The Executive – Finance and Accounts will support the financial operations of the University by managing routine accounting functions, fee-related transactions, vendor payments, statutory compliances, and audit documentation. This role requires familiarity with university processes, government guidelines, and accounting practices commonly followed in higher educational institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and timely recording of all Cash & Bank transactions in the accounting system.
- Perform daily bank reconciliation to ensure books match with bank statements.
- Verify vendor invoices, match them with supporting documents, and ensure accuracy before processing.
- Prepare payment vouchers, initiate payments as per the payment schedule, and update the ledger accordingly.
- Provide support by compiling and organizing financial data required for GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.
- Maintain well-organized physical files for vouchers, invoices, receipts, and statutory documents.
- Ensure all accounting records are systematically archived for audit and compliance purposes.
- Address student queries related to fee payments, receipts, and dues.
- Issue fee receipts, maintain fee-related documentation, and coordinate with the admissions/administration team when required.
- Managing the fees entry in ERP as well as in Tally and also doing reconciliation of fees.
- Assist in preparing the tax challans like TDS, GST etc and ensure payments are made within deadlines to maintain compliance.
- Perform the accounting of sponsorship project.
- Maintaining the data for the sponsorship project to monitor and control overspending.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Education: Post Graduate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in accounting or finance roles
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Tally
- Strong Microsoft Office skills—especially Excel
