ABC_Interaction-Session-2025

Objectives:

The Academic Bank of Credits (ABC), introduced under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, aims to enhance flexibility and student-centric learning in higher education.

1. Raise Awareness about ABC

To inform students about the concept, structure, and purpose of the Academic Bank of Credit as envisioned in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

2. Explain Functionality and Benefits

To help students understand how ABC functions, including credit accumulation, transfer, multiple entry/exit, and credit redemption, and how it benefits their academic flexibility and career planning.

3. Demonstrate Registration and Usage

To guide students on how to register on the ABC portal, access their academic credit records, and track their learning progress digitally.

4. Promote Multidisciplinary Learning

To encourage students to explore courses across disciplines and institutions, thereby supporting holistic and multidisciplinary education.

5. Encourage Lifelong Learning and Re-entry

To make students aware of how ABC allows them to pause and resume education, facilitating lifelong learning and continuous skill development.

6. Clarify Roles and Responsibilities

To communicate the role of students, institutions, and academic advisors in effective implementation and monitoring of ABC credits.

7. Address Queries and Concerns

To provide a platform for students to raise doubts, clarify misconceptions, and receive accurate information about ABC implementation and opportunities.

8. Promote NEP 2020 Goals

To align student understanding with the broader goals of equity, accessibility, and quality education under NEP 2020.
