Main Purpose:

The Assistant Manager - Placement is responsible for fostering strong industry relationships to facilitate student placements and internships. This role involves strategizing and executing the placement drives, aligning student skills with industry requirements, and enhancing employability through training programs. Additionally, it includes leveraging alumni networks and analyzing placement data to ensure continuous improvement in placement outcomes.

Qualification: MBA/Postgraduate in Management
Experience: 7+ years of experience in corporate relations, placement coordination, or related roles in academia or industry.
Competency:
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and networking abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., MS Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with emerging technology sectors and industry trends

Job Responsibilities:

The selected candidate's responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Industry Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate organizations, startups, and industry leaders across various sectors.
  • Identify new companies and emerging sectors for potential recruitment partnerships.
  • Organize corporate outreach programs, including campus visits, industry meetups, and panel discussions.

2. Placement Coordination:

  • Strategize, plan, and execute the annual placement drive and internship programs as per institutional targets and timelines.
  • Liaise with company recruiters to understand their talent needs and align them with the skillsets of DA-IICT students.
  • Develop and manage the placement calendar, ensuring a smooth recruitment process.

3. Teamwork & Independent Execution

  • Operate independently with a high degree of ownership, accountability, and professional judgment.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills while working within tight recruitment timelines.
  • Support team members, where applicable, to improve overall corporate outreach and placement effectiveness.
