Executive Assistant to Director General

Dhirubhai Ambani University (DAU) is looking for a proactive and highly organized executive assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Director General. The ideal candidate should possess significant experience managing various administrative and executive support duties.

Responsibilities:

  1. Calendar Management:
    Coordinate and manage the Director’s schedule, including arranging meetings, appointments, and travel itineraries.
  2. Communication:
    Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on matters pertaining to the Director’s office. Handle correspondence, phone calls, and emails effectively and professionally.
  3. Documentation and Reports:
    Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documents. Draft reports and presentations as requested.
  4. Meeting Support:
    Schedule meetings and prepare meeting agendas, attend meetings as needed, and take accurate minutes.
  5. Travel Coordination:
    Arrange travel and accommodation for the Director General and occasionally for other staff members as required.
  6. Academic & Research Support:
    Assist in drafting, reviewing, and formatting academic reports, proposals, and research-related documents. Facilitate communication between the Director General and various academic committees, departments, and external academic bodies.
  7. Faculty Recruitment:
    Assist Director General, Dean(s) in coordinating the faculty recruitment and selection process.
  8. Compliance:
    Ensure compliance with university policies and accreditation guidelines in academic and administrative matters.

Any other task as assigned by the Director General.

Qualification, Experience & Skill Requirements:

  • A Graduate degree in any discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience with demonstrable evidence of exceptional performance and fit with the current position.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other office productivity tools.
