Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology, Gandhinagar
Dr. Sandeep Sharma holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi), with a specialization in Algebraic Coding Theory. His research focuses on additive codes over finite fields and quantum locally recoverable codes, with several publications in reputed international journals.
With experience across academia and research, including a postdoctoral fellowship at Tel Aviv University, Dr. Sharma has made significant contributions to the theory and construction of error-correcting codes. He has actively participated in national and international workshops and conferences, where he has presented his work and engaged with the global research community. His research has been published in reputed journals such as Designs, Codes and Cryptography, Finite Fields and Their Applications, Cryptography and Communications, IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Information Theory (IEEE JSAIT), and Problems of Information Transmission. His efforts have been recognized through awards such as the Best Paper Presentation Award at the International Conference on Discrete Mathematics and Combinatorics, held at Manipal Institute of Technology, Bengaluru.
In addition to his research, Dr. Sharma is deeply involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in mathematics and engineering, including Number Theory, Abstract Algebra, Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics, and Coding Theory.
He currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the School of Technology, Dhirubhai Ambani University (DAU). Prior, he served as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), JK Lakshmipat University, Jaipur.
