Nurse – Medical Center

The Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive health care services to students, faculty, staff, and campus residents at DAU. The role involves assisting doctors, administering basic medical care, handling emergencies, maintaining medical records, and supporting wellness initiatives on campus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid, nursing care, and treatment to patients at the medical center.
- Assist doctors in consultations, minor procedures, and emergency care.
- Administer prescribed medicines, injections, dressings, and vaccinations.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies on campus.
- Coordinate patient transfer/ambulance services in critical cases.
- Maintain accurate patient case files, medical registers, and digital records.
- Support documentation for medical claims where required.
- Support campus health awareness and wellness programs.
- Participate in vaccination drives, blood donation camps, and preventive screenings.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control in the Medical Centre/Ambulance.
- Maintain stock and inventory of medicines, consumables, and medical equipment.
- Adhere to university policies, medical ethics, and statutory regulations.
Qualifications, Skills & Requirements:
- Education: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Registration: Valid registration with the State Nursing Council.
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of clinical/nursing experience, preferably in hospital or institutional setup.
- Skills:
- Strong patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively.
- Basic computer proficiency for record management.
- Knowledge of first aid, vaccination protocols, and infection control.
