Job Opening for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for Gujarat Gas Ltd. sponsored project (under their CSR initiative)

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for a temporary position to work at DA-IICT, Gandhinagar, Gujarat on a sponsored research and development project funded by "Gujarat Gas Ltd." through Gujarat CSR Authority under their CSR support. The project details, requisite qualifications and experience etc., are given below:

Essential Qualifications M.Tech. in Computer Science or Engineering/IT/Information and Communication Technology/E&C or equivalent
Skill Set Required Good in python and C++ programming
Basic 3D shape designing on CAD software
Knowledge Required Basic image processing, 3D mesh-representation and modeling, and Basic deep learning
Job Profile
  • Assist in the development of the optical camera-based tool navigation system and deep learning-based bone tissue segmentation in CT scan
  • Assist in the development and validation of system development on an individual basis as well as along with a team
  • Monitoring and coordinating various modules or APIs of the projects that different team members will develop
  • Maintenance of project lab, e.g., hardware systems, software/APIs
  • Excellent in documentation and record keeping
Period of Appointment Initially for one year (renewable for one more year subject to satisfactory performance). Selection to this position does not entitle the candidate to claim further extension or a regular position in DA-IICT. However, the selected candidate will be encouraged to apply for the PhD program of DA-IICT as per the available guidelines, under the same project.

Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on their CV, qualifications and experience. Short-listing criteria may be higher than the minimum eligibility.
