Rolling JRF Advertisement for the ISRO Sponsored Research Project in Software Engineering Domain

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for Project Associate - I (PA-I)/Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Position to work at DA-IICT on an Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Department of Space, Government of India sponsored research project. The project details, requisite qualifications & experience etc. are given below:

Title of the Project: An Empirical Analysis on Deriving Test Cases from Natural Language text using MBT approach

Sponsoring Agency Space Application Center (SAC), Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Department of Space, Government of India
Duration 3 Years (One Year completed)
Position Project Associate-I/Junior Research Fellow – 1 Post
Fellowship Rs. 31000 per month + 27% HRA
Essential Qualification
  • Master’s Degree (CSE/ICT) in Engineering or Technology with the minimum of 60% marks from a recognised University or equivalent

OR

  • Bachelor's Degree in (CSE/ICT) in Engineering or Technology with the minimum of 60% marks from a recognised University or equivalent
  • Upper age limit for Project Associate- I position is 35 years
Desirable Qualification
  • Candidate with GATE qualification is preferred
  • Expertise in Java/Python programming, Debugging of the tools
  • Knowledge and prior experience in testing/debugging
  • Knowledge of Natural Language Processing Techniques
  • Software Modeling and Design - UML (Activity and State diagram)
  • Experience with software development and research in Model-Based Testing - preferable
Period of Appointment This post is purely temporary for a duration of one year and can be extended based on the performance. It would, therefore, not confer any right for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in DA-IICT. The selected candidate will be encouraged to apply for the PhD program of DA-IICT as per the available guidelines.
Job Description The development of tools, techniques and frameworks for analysing test cases derived from Natural Language text using Model-Based Testing (MBT) approach.
Other Benefits The project also supports for attending Conferences, Workshops etc. within India. The position is based at DA-IICT Gandhinagar, Gujarat but travel to SAC-ISRO and other institutions may be required.
