JRF Advertisement for the Climate Change Dept, GoG Project

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position to work at DA-IICT on a sponsored research project financed by the Climate change department, Government of Gujarat.. The project details, requisite qualification and experience etc. are given below:

Title of the Project: : Impact of Climate Change on Crop Yield and Plant Disease for Major Crops In Gujarat using In-house IoT Enabled Sensor System

Position and Fellowship: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 1 post
Rs. 30,000 (All-inclusive)
Essential Qualifications:
  • M.E/M.Tech (Electronics & Communication/ ICT/Electrical) or Equivalent with 60% marks and with GATE qualification. OR
  • B.E./B.Tech. (Electronics & Communication/ ICT/Electrical) or Equivalent with 60% marks and with GATE qualification.
  • M.Sc in Electronics/Physics with 60% marks. CSIR-UGC NET qualification (including lectureship)/IIT JAM and Industrial/Research/teaching experience will be given preference.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Understanding of Sensor fabrication and 2D Materials
  • Understanding of thin film gas sensors
  • Experience in PCB designing (2 layer/4 layer), Circuit designing
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML models
Period of Appointment: This post is purely temporary and appointment will be made initially for 1 year and further extendable subject to satisfactory performance upto 1 more year. It would, therefore, not confer any right for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in DA-IICT. However, the selected candidate will be encouraged to apply for the PhD program of DA-IICT as per the available guidelines.
Job Description: Design of the Gas sensor for environmental applications, understand the impact of the climate change considering the data received from the sensor data.
