Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology, Gandhinagar
I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the School of Technology, Dhirubhai Ambani University. I have pursued my PhD in Management (Economics area) at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. I completed a MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ranchi and M.Sc. (Hons.) Economics with B.E (Hons.) Manufacturing Engineering from BITS Pilani, Pilani campus.
As an empirical microeconomist, my research spans three domains: Decentralization and Public Policy, Financial Inclusion, and Applied social network analysis. I make use of primary and secondary data from a variety of sources to answer questions within these broad topics. My research has been presented in leading economics conferences in India and abroad, such as the Asian Meetings of the Econometric Society at IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi, ADEA Annual conference at QUT Brisbane, Barcelona School of Economics, Delhi School of Economics, IIM Calcutta, IIM Bangalore, IGIDR Mumbai and Ahmedabad University.
Currently, I am working on problems related to local governance and specifically on examining how Gram Panchayats can improve the monitoring of public healthcare services in rural India.
