Female Warden/Hostel Supervisor
Reporting to: Resident Warden/Women WardenLocation: University Hostel Campus (Residential Position) | DAU Campus, Gandhinagar
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day hostel operations, ensuring smooth functioning.
- Maintain discipline, order, and a conducive environment for academic and personal growth.
- Handle student grievances related to hostel facilities and welfare.
- Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all female hostel residents.
- Conduct regular rounds of the hostel premises, particularly during evening/night hours.
- Act as the first point of contact for emergencies, including medical and disciplinary issues.
- Enforce hostel rules and regulations fairly and consistently.
- Prevent and address any incidents of harassment, bullying, or misconduct.
- Supervise hostel staff (housekeeping, security, maintenance).
- Coordinate with the Admin, Estate, HR and Security, and other dep. for smooth hostel operations.
- Ensure timely reporting and resolution of maintenance or facility-related issues.
- Maintain records of hostel occupancy, leave/outing permissions, disciplinary cases & contact details of parents and local guardians.
- Submit monthly/quarterly reports on hostel functioning to the Dean/Administration.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate in any discipline.
- At least two years of experience as warden/Asst. warden/Supervisor of girls hostel in University/Institution.
- Experience in residential campus of higher education with multi-culture students from different states, shall be an added advantage.
- Ability to deal empathetically yet firmly with students.
- Should be willing to reside within the hostel premises.
Terms of Appointment:
- Full-time, residential position.
- Single occupancy accommodation within the hostel premises will be provided.
- Employment Type – Contractual/Regular
- Emoluments: CTI based emoluments in commensurate with experience and current/last pay.
