Biography

I work on Anglo-Indian periodicals published between 1780 and 1860 and engage with questions of the idea of literature, literary history and historiography, the formation of the English literary canon, and the global circulation of literary texts as material objects in the age of Empire. As part of my future research, I plan to expand my existing work on Anglo-Indian periodicals and explore questions of readership and circulation (both within and beyond British India). I also plan to include other related forms of print such as pamphlets and catalogues.
