Dhirubhai Ambani University (DAU) extended a warm welcome to its undergraduate batch of 2025 with an orientation programme aimed at familiarising students with the academic environment, campus life, and available resources. The programme was spread across five days, blending academic briefings, interactive sessions, and cultural experiences.

The orientation began with a welcome remark by Prof. PM Jat, UG Convenor, followed by a formal address by Prof. Tathagata Bandyopadhyay, Director General, DAU. The programme was graced by the presence of Mr. Siddharth Swaminarayan, (Executive Registrar), Dr. Maniklal Das (Dean - Faculty Affairs), Dr. Bhaskar Chaudhury (Dean - Academic Programmes), Dr. Yash M. Vasavada (Dean – Research) and Dr. P. S. Kalyan Sasidhar (Dean – Students). The orientation was also attended by faculty members, staff, and the parents of the students.

The orientation programme's sessions focused on "Introduction to Academics at DAU" and provided an overview of hostel facilities and processes, led by wardens, heads of residences, and hostel supervisors. Throughout the week, students participated in different sessions and activities, including alumni interactions, department-wise orientation for B.Tech (ICT), B.Tech (ICT-CS), B.Tech (MnC), and B.Tech (EVD) programmes, as well as meetings with first-semester instructors. The students also engaged in a full-day workshop on Design Thinking organised by the Registrar’s Office.

The final day of the programme covered essential topics such as ICT resources, e-campus systems, examination and scholarship processes, and various support services. The students also had sessions with the Student Counsellor, a SPIC MACAY talk by Ms. Jigisha Aagja (Gujarat Chapter Coordinator), and an "Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)" orientation. The orientation set the tone for an enriching academic journey, helping the students to seamlessly integrate with the DAU family.
