We are delighted to share the successful organization of the Silver Jubilee Seminar titled “Emerging Technologies for a Sustainable and Intelligent Future (ETSIF)” sponsored by Dhirubhai Ambani University and Smart Energy Learning Centre (SELC), funded by BSES Rajdhani Power Limited and BSES Yamuna Power Limited.

The seminar brought together leading academicians, researchers, and innovators to explore transformative technologies driving a sustainable and intelligent future. Prof. G Venkatesh - Director SoT, Prof. Sanjay Srivastava - Convenor Silver Jubilee Events, Prof. Yash Vasavada - Dean Research, and Prof. Bhaskar Chaudhury - Head, SELC, provided opening remarks.

We had the privilege of hosting eminent speakers:

• Prof. Mausam (Indian Institute of Technology Delhi) on Developing AI Applications of Science with Case Studies in Healthcare and Materials Science
• Prof. M. S. Santhanam (Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune) on Quantum Technology: From Weird Science to Computing Devices
• Prof. Brijesh Tripathi (Pandit Deendayal Energy University) on Advances in Solar Photovoltaic Technology

Their sessions sparked engaging discussions and meaningful interactions with faculty and participants.

Poster Presentation Competition

The seminar featured 23 innovative poster presentations across key themes: AI & ML, NLP & LLMs, Quantum Computing, Climate Change Mitigation, and Rural Upliftment. Participants have showcased impactful research and ideas.

Esteemed Jury Panel for Poster Competition

We were honoured to have:

• Prof. Mausam and Prof. M. S. Santhanam for evaluating AIML, NLP, and QC themes
• Dr. Nilesh Desai (Director, Space Applications Centre - ISRO) and Prof. Naresh Jotwani (Former DAU Professor) for evaluating TMCC and RU themes

The interactive evaluation added immense value to participants’ learning experience.

The seminar concluded with a valedictory session featuring a special address by Prof. Naresh Jotwani and Dr. Nilesh Desai, followed by an award ceremony celebrating the innovative ideas presented by participants.
