Dhirubhai Ambani University (DAU) in partnership with the Deccan Centre for International Relations (DCIR), successfully organised a Conference on Technology & Geopolitics on August 4, 2026, at the DAU campus in Gandhinagar. The conference was part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the university and brought together distinguished policymakers, strategic affairs experts, technology leaders, and academicians. The gathering served as an essential forum to address how emerging technologies, global competition, and international cooperation intersect with national security.

The event commenced with an inaugural and welcome address by Prof. Tathagata Bandyopadhyay, Director General, DAU, followed by introductory remarks from Amb. T. S. Tirumurti, IFS (Retd), Chair, Steering Committee, Deccan Centre for International Relations, Chennai. The event featured a series of expert addresses, including a keynote address on "Warfare in the 21st Century and Future Trends" by Lt. Gen. Raj Shukla, Member, Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi, and former General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Army Training Command. Ms. Prachi Mishra, International Security, Researcher, Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, delivered a virtual address on "Quantum and Geopolitics."

The other eminent speakers at the event were Mr. Pranay Kotasthane, Deputy Director, Takshashila Institution, who spoke on "Silicon Power: Semiconductors and Great Power Competition"; Mr. Subimal Bhattacharjee, Independent Adviser and Consultant, who shared perspectives on "Disruption in the Digital Age: Cyberspace & Digital Frontiers"; and Dr. Akanksha Tyagi, Senior Programme Lead, Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), who addressed "Mineral Wars: Securing Critical Minerals in a Fragmented World."

The conference concluded with remarks by Dr. G. Venkatesh, Director, School of Technology, DAU, and a vote of thanks by Mr. C. Balasubramanian, Senior Advisor, Deccan Centre for International Relations.
