On September 11, 2025, the IEEE IAS DAU Student Branch Chapter organised the Defence Innovation Challenge at the Dhirubhai Ambani University campus. The event began with a keynote from Mr Sameer Vasant Kulkarni, Air Force Veteran and Senior Vice President at Decimal Point Analytics, who shared insights on defence, technology, and resilience.

Over 180 students attended the event. The students then faced a surprise task to solve a defence problem with a set of sensors and just minutes to ideate. Working in teams, each team pitched their solutions in a 3-minute presentation, blending creativity with practicality.

The challenge was a brilliant showcase of quick thinking, teamwork, and bold ideas, with three outstanding teams claiming the top spots.
